Hi,

Glycomet is a drug that is used in polycystic ovarian syndrome and diabetes. Probably the doctor has started you that medications if your sugars are on the higher side, or you have family history of diabetes or he feels you are at risk of developing diabetes. Metformin will help you to reduce weight - it will be a modest weight loss usually less than 5%.

Other drugs like orlistat, locaserin and qsymia are currently approved medications for weight loss if available in your country.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
