Will Eating Chocolate Increase Swelling When Recovering From Breast Cancer?

I have stage 4metastisized breast cancer. I just recently started eating edible pot chocolate bars. Would this possibly cause swelling? Started with ankles about two weeks ago. Moved into face and now my throat and neck have a double roll. I did gain 15 lbs in a week then lost seven in two days when swelling seemed less on face.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Eating chocolates are not being considered as proof on medical grounds to cause swelling throat, neck and face.

It is the systemic reaction of underlying inflammation via cancer cells which are causing the issue. Kindly discuss the same with your treating oncologist for further guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
