Will An Overdose Of Atenolol For Marfan Syndrome Cause Problems?

My 11 yr old son takes atenolol for marfans syndrome. He takes 50 MG at night and accidentally took two doses tonight. He weighs 80-90 lbs and in great health otherwise. Should there be a reason for concern or should he be ok? What would you suggest for us to do?

I understand your concern.
Double dose of atenalol consumption accidentally should not cause any major side effects.
However, keep a watch on any such symptoms like alteration in heart rate, palpitations, irregular heart beats and throbbing headache. In case of appearance of such symptoms, you need to seek medical attention immediately.
Otherwise, ask him to consume more fluids, which would help to metabolise the drug effectively and help to eliminate from the body.
