Will A Calculus In Left Pelvic Ureter Pass Through Urine?

I have a calculus of size 8*4 mm in the left pelvic ureter, about 2.5 cm from the UV junction. Is it possible to pass through urine? I heard drinking bear as a med on regular bases helps to get rid of the stone but how much truth this thing hold, I ll be greatful if you could suggest me something related to this too.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

8.4 mm stone is equivocal and probably it will pass through urine. Consult a urologist and get evaluated. Drink plenty of water and you can take over the counter available stone dissolving pills for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
