Will I Be Put To Sleep After Laceration?

I had a nose infection which never went away with antibiotics and have been left with a slight red mark on my nostril. I have an appointment with the doctor to perform a laceration to squeeze out the residual infection and would like to know if I will be put to sleep under this

If the mark is superficial then only local anesthetic will work and dr will simply clear the residual material. In case the mark is embedded deep then it might require general anesthesia.
