Why The Glucose Level Has Risen So Much For A 4-year-old?
My son is 4 years old and is type one diabetic. yesterday his glucose level all sudden went up to 490 and then 528. I came find out his pump infusion pop out from his skin. I quickly gave 4 units using syringe and changed his infusion set. My question is what is the effect on my son s health for having Glucose level that high? Thank you

If the sugar level is now within range, then there should be no problem. However, uncontrolled sugar levels for a longer period can cause diabetic ketoacidosis and coma.
