Why My Father Is Unable To Stand Properly After Recovered From Paralysis?
Dear sir. my father is attacked paralysis before 3 yrs, one side of his left hand not working, now it works.but not properly works.& now he has the new problem occured in back.that is when he want to stand not stand up properly.& not walk properly. so plz sir help me & give the reason for why this happens?

welcome to hcm, short answer : needed good motivation and if possible physiotherapic rehabilitation is needed detailed answer: after the paralytic attack he might have lost his confidence so you must tell him constantly that he can walk liker it was before. constant physiotherapy and gaining his honfidence improves. if needed he can walk with support noe with a walking stick. later on he can walk without support. hope this explains with regards Dr.Amarnath
