The bad smell indicates germs are residing inside the mouth of the baby. Germs need not to reside only on the teeth. It is present in the mouth itself. Take a cotton an soak it in water + hexidine mouth wash solution and apply it inside the mouth of the baby twice daily. This will help and prevent bad smell.
