Why Is My Son Passing Liquid Feces After An Appendix Removal Surgery?

My 8 year old son keeps having problems with liquid feces leaking out in his underwear with out feeling it until it is to late. It s happening so much he is raw. This happened once before due to him having his appendix removed but that was almost a year ago. So what could be causing it now? Should I take him to a doctor immediately or is this something that can be handled at home. Not sure how to help him. Thanks for your time! Child s Mother, XXXX

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

It seems your kid is having viral diarrhea. Once it starts it will take 5-7 days to completely get better. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting. You need not worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
