Why Is My Husband Having Pain On The Left Side Of His Chest?

My husband had a picc line removed on Monday evening, he has been fine until this afternoon, he is just now telling me about the pain.. He has had dull chest pain on the left side of his chest. He had to change a tire last night and had a lot of trouble breaking the lug nuts loose. Could he have pulled something to cause the pain?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your husband's situation and problem.
PICC line can not cause chest pain.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more. But better to first rule out cardiac cause because his chest pain is on left side.
So get done ecg and 2d echo. If both are normal than no need to worry for heart diseases.
Pulled muscle is possibility. So ask him to avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid movements causing pain.
Start painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Tell him to apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
