Why Is My Foot So Sore With Different Colours?

I am 70 years old with diabeties and have any other health issues. I am on a blood thinner due to a mechinacial valve I woke up one night and have a blood clot on top of my foot. I sleep alone and not sure how I got it but I have seen the Dr and my foot was wrapped up and have done this for a week. my foot is all different colors due to this is their any thing I can do to help it heal better. It is still so sore. Do I keep it wrapped up or let the air at it? I have pain walking and putting a shoe on.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be pyoderma. I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines. I would recommend you to take tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days and fusidic acid cream on the affected areas twice daily. Also, take tablet ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
