Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Is My Child Showing Symptoms Of Absent Mindedness?
My 10 year old child acts as if she s mentally incapable of thinking. Acting and understanding at a normal capacity. There are times when I ask her to retrieve things that a basically in eye sight, and she stands with a lost look on her face and doesn t obtain the object asked. Her father functions at a below than capacity. And always have. I came to realize this when I was in high schooland already pregnant. I was severely disappointed. I asked his mother and she acts as if nothing is wrong. Now my daughters father is facing prison time for two counts murder.
I went through your details. Your daughter is just 10 years. She is learning. The absent mindedness (as you call it, I will not do that) is normal because the child's mind is always on search for creative things. You cannot force her to do a thing. If you do so, confusion and anxiety results. Naturally the child acts as if, she is not aware of anything. You should have patience with children of this age range. You may consult a child psychologist for tips.
