Why Is My Arm Swollen After A Tuberculin Test?

I had BCG in Quebec as a child. When I was applying for a job in Ottaw, i had to have a TB test. The nurse that gavre me the Tuberculin test said that since I had the BCG decades ago , I was fine to take the Tuberculin test so I agreed to take it. As a side effect my whole arm swelled to three times its normal size and my hand was so edeamatious that I coud not bend my fingers and I had night raeats and am very tired all the time. What is happening here?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having cellulitis of arm and hand. It occurred after tuberculin test. It is unusual after tuberculin test. It's treatment is analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Antibiotics may be given to control infection. Keeping limb elevated may be useful for reducing swelling. You can discuss with your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
