Why Is Meloxicam Prescribed For A Cut Wound On The Hand?
I cut my hand with the edge of a razor blade and went to emergency room. They taped and wrapped it. Gave me a tetnus shop and I went home. But they gave me a prescription for Mobis (Meloxicam) 7.5 mg for what I don t remember and thought it was for pain. That was 2 days ago and I have no pain. What do you think this medicine was for? Should I get it filled now? Anita Taylor
Mobic is composed of 'meloxicam'. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Hence, Mobic is used to treat pain or inflammation.
Kindly take the medication as prescribed as it would aid in the healing process of the wound and do the necessary follow-up as advised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
