Why Is Fostimon Prescribed While On Cyclo-Progynova?

Hi,am a 28 year old woman, newly wed 3month ago. Before marriage I used cycloprogynova because of period irregularity then stopped it for a year. After marriage I used them again and had hsg twice ...first one revealed blocked falobian tubes and uterus....then I did hsg again and it was fine.still taking cycloprogynova am on the white tablets now the 7th one and my doctor prescribed me fostimon 75 for 3days in arow. Now am afraid to take them cause I know they cause multiple pregnancies? And still don t get what is my real problem do I have problem with my ovaries or ovulation and why am I taking fostimon now...he hasn t asked me for blood tests!!!

Fostimon is a synthetic formulation of hormone follicular stimulating hormone (FSH) which directly stimulates the ovaries in women to increase the number of growing follicles to produce and release eggs (ovulation). It is therefore prescribed to induce ovulation which helps in conceiving.
