Why I Am Having A Squezzing Feeling In My Left Side Of My Chest?

I've been having a squezzing feeling in my left side of my chest where my heart is. I've seen a cazrdioligist & had an ultrasound & a stress test, & he said my heart is structurally sound. Could my diaphragm be giving me that squeezing feeling? Could it be a spasm in my diaphragm?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No diaphragm spasm can not be the cause for your symptoms.
Diaphragm is involuntary muscle and very unlikely to go in spasm.
In my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis because bronchitis can also cause squeezing feeling in chest.
If PFT is suggestive of obstructive defect then you may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Sometimes stress and anxiety can also cause similar squeezing feeling. So avoid stress and tension if you have these.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
