Why Does The Skin Around The Wound Turns Black After An Animal Bite?
I got bit by a dog about 11 days ago. It bit my pointer finger. Went to the doctor couple of hours after and said that it was ok because I can move it around. Gave me antibiotics for it which I just finished. But my question is, the area around the laceration is turning black. Im kind of worried about it.
Hello The area around laceration becomes black due to collection of blood under skin. It is totally normal. The blood will slowly get absorbed and blackening will disappear. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you
