Why Does One Lose Body Weight?

I ve lost over 40 pounds over the past year, but I haven t done anything differently, lifestyle-wise. My GP didn t even mention it until I brought up how suddenly I was losing weight (I had been on medication previously that put on a lot of weight; I m still 5 2 and about 145 lbs. But I m off both Abilify and Exfexor, the primary weight gain culprits). My whole body hurts all the time, and I m so tired I ve fallen asleep at my desk. But my labs came back totally normal. My thyroid is fine, just a touch anemic, and otherwise perfectly healthy. But I know something s wrong. As soon as my bloodwork came back my GP dismissed it and told me to get over it. Fibrmyalgia (sorry, apparently I can t spell) was mentioned, but I heard that the weight loss wouldn t stem from that. I have to find a new GP obviously, but my friends and family are starting to admit they re very worried, and that s the last thing I want.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for seeking help on your issue; I have gone through your symptoms, and i share your concern that sudden weight loss cannot be considered a natural event. you say all screening are negative, and you have stopped the drugs you were taking, rest assured, continue your routine, with incorporation of good exercises. watch your symptoms and if you find anything abnormal, consult your GP. till then think positive and disease free.
I hope I have been able to provide you with a satisfactory solution, if you want to clear any doubts about my opinion, feel free to contact.
Special note- Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
Thanks
