Why Does My Jaw Get Locked Time And Again?

My jaw usually go out of place when i open it to wide which is everytime i yawn or eat some big and then goes back in place when i close it. It doesnt hurt usually and im use to it but i woke up this morning and my jaw was locked. I couldnt open it wide and it hurt everytime i tried. I eventually changed my position and fiddle around with my jaw and it unlocked. It hurts now and im afraid its going to lock again. What should i do?

hello...reading thru ur query i must say that its a case of dislocation of temperomandibular joint(jaw)...but dont worry...it can be prevented surgically thru few procedures...or else u can follow this little tips...first of all dont open ur jaw too wide open(yawning eating jumboburger full apple bite etc).dont have hard food be on soft diet..reduce stress and tension....main aim is to reduce the too much of opening of mouth...surgical method can be permanent that u have to meet an oral surgeon and get it done...be cool..hope ur benefitted something from this reply..have a healthy day!!!
