Why Do I Have Chemical Smelling Stools Once Every Couple Of Weeks?

My stool is very loose and has a chemical smell. I am a three year stroke survivor, I take blood thinners, blood pressure meds, cholesterol meds and acid reflux meds. The chemical smelling stools started about six weeks ago and come and go. Once every couple of weeks or so, lasting about a day.

Thank you, Randy

HI Randy

You need a stool sample sent for cultures since this could be a bacterial enteritis. Irritable bowel syndrome would be another possibility
