Why Do I Get Yeast Infection Post Sex?

I keep getting yeast infections after sex with my boyfriend. Two weeks ago we went to urgent care to receive the STD testing and we are both negative for all STDs. Also he has discharge days after we have sex. Keep in mind he is not circumcised. Sometime we use condoms and sometimes we don't. What could be the problem?

Also, I am lactose intolerant so my doctor told me to use the pro-biotic acidophillis. I have been using it sparingly. Also I changed my birth control from lo-estrogen to sprintex before we dated.

One factor for return of yeast infection could be birth control pills. Birth control pills may lead to women developing yeast infections because they increase estrogen levels in a woman’s body.
If I was the treating doctor I would have advised you to use an OTC topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole vaginal tablets for 7 days.
A single dose of an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole is also curative.
It is advisable to check from your partner for any redness, genital itching and therefore the partner also need to be simultaneously treated to prevent a recurrence.
Practice abstinence from sex for a week till the condition resolves fully.
