Why Did My Ears Crackle With A Popping Noise After I Blew My Nose?

I blew my nose this morning and my ear had the crackling, popping noise. I was outside this afternoon and now my ear throbs like my pulse is in my ear. There is some discomfort as well. Is there anything that I can do this evening to try to remedy this? Thanks.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO HCM.
YOU SEEM TO BE DEVELOPING ACUTE INFECTION IN YOUR EAR. IT GENERALLY HAPPENS SECONDARY TO AN ACUTE UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION OR COLD. HOWEVER IT MAY OCCUR ALONE ALSO. POPPING SOUND IN THE EAR AND DISCOMFORT MEANS YOUR MIDDLE EAR IS GETTING INFECTED NOW. IT IS BECAUSE OF THE INFECTION GOING THROUGH THE EUSTACHIAN TUBE (WHICH CONNECTS OUR EARS TO OUR NOSE AND THROAT) TO YOUR EAR. YOU NEED TO START MEDICINES IMMEDIATELY OR SOON YOU MAY DEVELOP ACUTE PAIN IN YOUR EAR WHICH MAY BE FOLLOWED BY PUS FROM THE EAR. MEET SOME ENT SPECIALIST IMMEDIATELY AND START TAKING MEDICINES. MEANWHILE U CAN STARTTAKING STEAM INHALATION. ITWILL EASE YOUR DISCOMFORT.
