Why Are Antibiotics Bitter To Taste?

hi. doc. i have been taking antibiotics for 3 days. but there is a fact that always popes up in my mind whenever i try to engulf them. because it taste like bitter of hell . but why it is bitter in test not sweet or sour that would do better for me at least i could get rid of throwing them away?can you tell me in detail with scientific explanation? plz.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Whether drug taste sweet of bitter depends on the ingredients used. Unfortunately, most of them end up giving a bitter taste. It is for this reason and nothing else that they taste bitter. It is the final product and not an intention of the manufacturers to do so. Take medications because you think it is the right thing to do and not because they taste good.
