Why Am I Always Hungry Even After Having A Full Meal?

Doctor, I am always hungry, even after I eat a full meal. I don t feel full after dinner and then 30 minutes after I eat I m wanting to eat more food because my stomach is still feeling hungry. I eat lots of vegetables. I drink plenty of water and liquids throughout the day, and I eat slowly. So I m not sure why this is happening to me. I think that something is wrong with me and I don t know what to do. Please help. Thanks

H,

If you're eating calories more than daily requirement means then you keep an eye on it. Usually hyperthyroidism or excessive physical activity or diabetes or hypercatabolic states or recovery from acute major illness or irritable bowel syndrome or bulimia nervosa, etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Need to get checked to confirm is it physiological or pathological. Please consult your endocrinologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
