White Rough Skin Around Urethra, Pain On Touching, Sexually Active. STD Symptoms?

Hello, I noticed a few months ago that the skin around my urethra was white and it feels quite rough. I wasn t too worried about it but It s slightly painful to touch now. I am sexually active, but have only had one sexual partner and we have both been checked recently and the tests came out all clear. Any idea what may be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
this could be certainly an inflammatory reaction, considering the fact that you are both faithful to each other. However, traumatic conditions could also cause this. Other infectious causes, not actually sexually transmitted conditions could also be responsible for this condition. Clinical evaluation by your general physician shall be recommended to draw the borderline between an infectious and a non infectious cause for a proper management. Consulting your primary care physician is the recommendation step to take.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
