When Should Serelax Be Taken While On Diazepam?

My neurologist gives me 5 mg of diazepam for my essential tremor. I still have anxiety issues I have serelax. I take the diazepam in the morning. Would it be safe to take the serelax later in the day? All natural ingredients Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...

It's not safe to take Serelax while on Diazepam. Serelax is a herbal supplement claimed to boost mood, relieve stress, and ease persistent tension. Its one of the important ingredients is gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). GABA acts as an anticonvulsant, a sedative, and an anti-anxiety agent.

If taken along with Diazepam, GABA can cause serious side effects including respiratory distress, coma, and even death. So avoid taking Serelax even in the evening or night after taking Diazepam and ask your doctor to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications.
