Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take metformin hcl er 750 mg once per day. I ve also started taking welchol 625 mg two tablets twice per day. both say to take with food and not to take any meds 4 hours before taking welchol. When s the best time to take the Metformin? I m also taking with food a prostate supliment Prostata Plus that says not to take meds one hour before. Before bed I take Bystolic 10 mg and Cialis daily 5 mg. What happens if the metformin is taken sooner than 4 hours before taking the Welchol? Any suggestions about how to juggle the times to take these? I don t want to start eating 4 or 5 meals a day!
Can take Metformin at lunchtime. So it would be far away from Welchol (morning and night) and from other meds you take at night. Then, take Prostata Plus before dinner time. Have your dinner, take Welchol, wait 4 hours and start taking Bystolic and cialis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
