When My Next Period Will Arrive?

I took norethindrone for 10 days beginning on day 2 of my cycle to help thin my uterine lining to help us conceive. My period continued close to usual flow for 5 more days and then I had brown spotting for 5 days. 2 days after I stopped taking it, I had about 4 splurts of red blood and then everything went away. I usually have very regular periods and it was due 3 days ago and I still have got nothing. Any idea when my period might arrive?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because your periods are due since three days ago, it is important to have a urinary pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

If you are not pregnant, very likely your periods will come in the next 2-3 weeks. If they do not come in the next 2-3 weeks you will need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
