Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When is the best time to take a probiotic. Every article I see gives a different time. With a meal, before a meal, anytime is fine, or bedtime. I am 63 and am starting to be a little irregular and thought I would try probiotics. Just want to get off on the right foot. Thanks for helping me out. Looking forward to your response.
Hi there, as far as I am aware there is no time that is necessarily best to take a probiotic. I think the folks that recommend you structure it around mealtimes may just recommend that for ease of use and so you can easily remember to take it at that time. That said, everyone is a little bit different and so if you find through trial and error that a specific time of day feels best for you, I would use those times. Best of luck, hope my answer is helpful to you.
