General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Periods may get delayed by around a week after taking unwanted 72. So, it is normal to have delayed periods for up to a week.

If the periods are delayed for more than that she will need to repeat the pregnancy test.

If the test remains negative then she does not need to worry, very likely she is going to have her periods soon.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
