When Do Periods Begin After Taking Estradiol?

Hello, I ve been prescribed 8mg Estradiol tablets per day to try to increase my uterine lining as I m considering IVF. My doctor advised when I stopped taking it at 14 days my period would return within 1 week... it is almost 2 weeks and still no period, is this normal? Will it return within the 28 days of my normal cycle? Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You can wait for few more days for normal bleeding. If the periods are delayed very long, you can consult a gynecologist and take drugs to induce bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
