When Do Gums Heal After Putting Dentures?

I am having 14 teeth removed and I am having full dentures put in. They want to put in the temporary dentures in right after surgery. My gums will be swollen which concerns me. I feel that they should wait until my gums hell before putting in the dentures. Is this the way things are done these days?

Well, immediate dentures have a number of benefits like they help in better healing of the extraction sites, avoid excessive bleeding and protect delicate tissues, better adaptation to the dentures as it is placed earlier and help in adjusting to speech changes with dentures..

So do not worry as it will help in protecting your gums..

So if you do not have any financial problems in getting an immediate dentures that will be replaced by a permanent denture then you can very well go for it..
