What Was The Episode Of Extreme Hotness, high BP And Disorientation?

I felt very hot today and I had a spike in my blood pressure. It was very high. It is usually 110/70. I was extremely hot. I was confused and disoriented for about 3 minutes. I felt a little dizzy and had a weird feeling all over. My blood pressure went down during the course of the day and now I feel fine. Could this be a symptom of perimenopause. I am 49 years old. Should I be concerned that it was a mini-stroke?

Hi welcome to HCM
Eventhough perimenopause causes hot flushes it will not cause disorientation. You seem to have Transient ischeamic attack secondary to accelerated hypertension .Get a CT/MRI brain to rule out any infarcts.Drugs like Anti platelets ,antihypertensives will helpful in your case .Get an ECG,2dimensional Echo of your heart, lipid profile , complete blood picture, chest x ray as a part of routine screening of your heart. high protein, low salt, fat restricted diet is advisable . consult your neurophysician and cardiologist for further queries and expert management.
Thankyou.
