Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
The first thing u have to do is to take an x ray to rule out any fracture. If there is no fracture then it may need an ankle binder to immobilise the ankle to allow healing of the ligaments.Cold packs about three times a day will also help in bringing down the swelling.Rest is the key.
I request u to kindly visit nearest orthopaedician for thorough orthpaedic evaluation of your ankle.
