What To Do For Dry Skin And Itching In Child's Skin?

my 10 years old daughter is having dry skin from birth. Her skin becomes very itchy sometimes and gets lot of dandruff in her head which spreads to her face also.We have shown her to many skin specialists and they say it is eczema and will go away on its own.We are giving her good diet and normally apply propygenta cream on her skin when she feels very itchy and on her head we use antidandruff shampoo sebowash and lotion diprovate .Please suggest me what should we do to reduce her itch and make her improve soon. She is having some grey hair also.Earlier she was having lots of problem but now it has improved a little. Please also tell me the side effects of propygenta and diprovate lotion.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Thanks for the query.
Gentle soaps, known as syndets should be used.
Avoid taking very hot or very long showers or baths, which can dry out your skin.
Get regular exercise and set aside time to relax.
Oral antihistamines such as Benadryl for itching.
Proygenta and diprovate if used for prolonged time it may cause skin thinning.
So it is better to tapper them slowly as suggested by your dermatologist.

Hope i help you.
