What Should Be Done Post Accidental Injury To Fingers?

Hi, I cut the palm of my left hand with a sharp knife in the sink yesterday, the tip went straight in about an inch below my pinky and ring finger on my left hand. bleeding stopped with pressure applied shortly after. 24 hours have passed and it is very tight, tough to stretch out the fingers on that side and tender to touch.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

We have to rule out possible tendon injury which can happen with a deep wound. Better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
