What Should Be Done For Soft Windpipe In A Premature Baby?

A member of my family in France has a premature baby that suffer from soft windpipe that want become hard and he just a tracheotomie to be able to breath better. the parents are emotionnaly exausted and Dr are not clear on how to resolve this problem, what s your opinion on this matter

From the description given the likely cause is tracheomalacia which is softening of cartilage of traches. They require prolonged trachesotomy.
Reconstruction of trachea and aortopexy can be attempted when child is fit for surgery
