Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

The third percentile for girls at that age is 41.3cm. There are several causes for microcephaly (small head) They include intrauterine infections, hyperpyrexia, genetic causes, etc. A serial recording of head circumference is required. You should not worry but you should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
