As most have said 5 or below, , so if you aim for 4.9 you will be good,, if in doubt go and see your doctor and you can, if you need it, get medication to lower it,
If you are of an age, by that i mean a younger person, then you can lower it yourself by looking at your diet,
Try to eat less fatty foods for a while,
But 5.4 is not so bad,if you can get rid of that .4,happy days

I had blood test yesterday & doctor s office just called saying I have low platelets & my cholesterol is is higher but I already take 40mg of pravastatin & 10mg of Zetia. The lady who took blood had to use two different veins at it was slow & she asked if I drink enough water. I m 75 yrs old, play golf about three times per week, work in the yard & I was told to get more exercise. He wants another blood check in three months but to eat fat-free diet. I think I eat a very healthy diet with small helpings. What should I do for low platelets? I don t even know what that means. I did not know this is a PAY site. Sorry, but I don t do that---limited income.
