What Relieves The Pain Due To Disc Bulging And Sciatica?

Sir, I am 40 years old and suffering from disk bulges and sytica. I feel acute pain in my right leg while walking. I am unable to walk even 10 meters. I am getting treatment from various doctors but no relief. Kindly advise me.

Hello, I hope that I can answer your question.
To answer your question, you may need an MRI to determine if these disc bulges are actually pushing on a nerve and likely dynamic x-rays of your spine to see if the bones are sliding past one another and your spine is unstable (spondylolisthesis).

The real question is what is worse, you leg pain or your back pain. If you are having mainly leg problems that is due to discs and may be remedied by weight loss, steroid medications, physical therapy and surgery if need be.

If the back pain is worse, your options are more limited. If your spine bones are sliding past one another you will still need physical therapy but also might need spinal fusion as well.

I hope this helps and can better help guide you and your doctors.
