I had blood work done on a Saturday and one of the blood work that was done was for HIV. If the test came up positive would I get an immediate call to see my doctor or would I have to wait until my next appointment with my doctor which is in 3 weeks to find out about the results?

There is no need to go immediately to doctor but even do not wait untill 3 week duration. because if you find out to be hiv positive than you have to start for anti retroviral therapy. so it is not a emergency but it is urgency. thnx
Hi you have hiv positive then you should go for confirmatory test. And if positive go for cd4 count and viral load. And then start treatment accordingly. But its not an emergency condition. You can easily wait for three days till next appointments. thanks for using health care magic.
