Hi there. Im doing and assignment on heat stress and I was wondering if you could answer a few qestions from a doctors view. Many thanks! 1. What is heat stress/heat stroke? 2. What are the signs of it? 3. What advice or procedures would you recommend to the elderly to prevent heat  strokes from happening to them before and after leaving the house? 4. What risks follow after a heat stroke or a sun burn for the elderly?

HI
Well come to HCM
When expose to extreme heat body tend to produce more perspiration to keep the body cool and in this process body lost the fluid and ultimately developed dehydration and body temperature sets on higher side this (due to lack of thermoregulation) causes fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, hallucination, condition may be fetal if not treated in time, first dehydration need to be corrected gradually, body should be wrap in cold or moist blanket (Physical cooling of body) hope this information helps take care.
