What Might It Mean If A Bug Bite Turns Purple?
my son was bitten by a bug two days ago. It started out red and had a little white spot, by the next morning it became hard and was painful to the touch. we went to the dr and he was given antibiotics, but tonight the bite looks like its dark purple or black.

Yes, at early it is white then with inflammation it may became red then slowly it form scab. The early scab is purple then black and after 1-2 weeks it may fall off. Don't worry, continue antibiotics.
