What Medicine Can Be Given For Loose Motion?
My wife (40 yrs) is having stomach problem ( loose motion (3 times a day) with weakness ) for last 4 days. She took Metrogyl Tablet (3 times a day x 2 days) , not much improvement. Please suggest. Regards, Kalyan Dey(India)

gone through the brief explaination of your wife's illness.
she is suffering female the condition called as gastroenteritis.which can be caused by bacteria or viruses through contaminated food or water.
first of all she has to keep herself well hydrated you can use ors solution diluting one pack of ors in one lit of clean water.
next she will need some antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole combination available in market as tab O2 twice daily after food .tab pantaprazole 40mg twice daily before food .and tab loperamide available as tab andial 2tab stat.
if she is having high pulse rate, or giddiness,extreme tiredness you should take her to
nearest facilities available as these are signs of severe dehydration and she may need iv fluids.
