Hi

There are many factors which determine healing of wound .
1. Age -- Older age takes more time .
2. Site of wound -- Places of body which can't be given rest heal slowly .
3. Diabetes-- Wounds heal slowly .
4. Steroids-- If patient is on steroids wound heal slowly.

The Antibiotic duration is adequate . Now what counts is whether the wound is infected or is it clean .

If Infected a culture from wound has to be done and antibiotics should be given as per culture report .

But if wound is clean you just have to wait till wound heals .
