Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

1.Following thorn prick if you can find out the sharp thorn then remove it.

2. If bleeding is there, stop it by applying firm, direct pressure on it with the help of sterile gauze or clean cloth.

3. Wash the wound with clean water

4.Take a course of antibiotics like cephalosporins group if the puncture is superficial & if the wound is deep seated then adjust antibiotics accordingly.

5. Or apply antibiotic cream or ointment like Neosporin or Polysporin. Change the dressing every 2days once atleast.

5. Take analgesics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
