Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doctor! I had my period starting more than a week ago (on June 6) for a 5 day cycle same as normal. During the period I had intercourse (no contraception) for a few times. A few days after it was over, I started bleeding again (pink spottings started and then it became more, but not too heavy) and the feeling was like as if I had another period. I went to see a doctor yesterday and she did an ultrasound. She said there is an egg remained in and she s going to give me medications to shrink the egg (perhaps to let it go) and stop my bleeding (pinkish discharge or whatever!) , now my actual question is about the medications she gave me because I don t seem to be able to find anything relevant about these 2 drugs: 1- Daflon 500mg (all I can find about this drug is on cardiovascular topics) and 2- Noflux (=anti inflammatory?!) ... Is that the right treatment?! Tnx.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Daflon (diosmin/hesperidin) is a medication used to improve venous circulation and reduce symptoms associated with venous insufficiency, such as swelling, pain, and heaviness in the legs. It works by strengthening the walls of blood vessels and reducing inflammation. It is also used to treat hemorrhoids. Noflux is not a medication that I am familiar with, and I could not find any information about it online. It may be a medication that is not commonly used or marketed under a different name in your country.
Based on the information you provided, it is possible that your doctor prescribed these medications to help with the bleeding and discomfort related to the remaining egg. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions and to ask any questions you may have about your treatment plan. If you have any concerns or experience any side effects, be sure to contact your doctor.
If you require a personalized response, kindly use the Ask A Doctor service and post a follow-up. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
