What Is Thick And Chunky Vomiting In A Toddler Suggestive Of?

Hi my two and a half year old daughter vomits a thick chunky cottage cheese like substance along with Apple purée she just had..no other symptoms like fever or diarrhea.. She is always less interested to eat. She drinks milk at night and early morning my question is is she have hard time to digest milk? Is this cottage cheese like substance in her vomit common?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The thick and chunky vomit in a toddler is indicative of undigested or partially digested lactose of milk. If this happens after a change in feeding formula, then sensitivity can be an issue for particular content and if not, gut infection with some sort of bacteria or virus can be secondary possibility to be evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
