What Is The Window Period For An HIV Test?
I am himanshu desai. I have unprotected oral sex with a female sex worker before 2 months. From 2to3 days I have small gland back to neck. So I have tested Elisa test in lab. Result is negative. What I have to do. What is window perioud for Elisa test. Thanks.

These tests are very sensitive, there is a "window period." This is the period between the onset of infection with HIV and the appearance of detectable antibodies to the virus. In the case of the most sensitive anti-HIV tests currently recommended, the window period is about three weeks.
