What Is The Use Of Duvadilan Retard 40 Mg During Pregnancy?

I am 20 weeks pregnant and everything seems fine right now. I had slight spotting during my first trimester. I am planning a to travel by air for 2.5 hrs and by road for 3 hrs. The road condition is not so good and quite bumpy. So my doctor recommended duvadilan retard 40 mg once a day. For 2 days before travel and 2 days after reaching destination. Is it necessary and what the benefits if I do.

Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
The tablet duvadilan is to prevent the onset of labour pain.
As a long journey especially by a bumpy road can be uncomfortable it can cause premature contractions.
The idea is to prevent the preterm labor contraction. I usually advise m Ty patients similarly. You can go ahead and take the medication.
Thanks
